Sivan Rotem- Soprano & Painter

About the Artist

Sivan Rotem was born in Buenos Aires and lives in Israel.

She graduated from Haifa University in English & Literature and from Tel Aviv University Music Academy in Voice. Mrs. Rotem sings in five continents under the batons of distinguished conductors, such as Zubin Mehta, Gerard Schwarz, Yoel Levi, in Operas, Concerts and recitals.

Sivan Rotem Studied painting at "Hatahana Figurative Painting & Drawing School" in Tel Aviv, with realistic painters Aram Gershuni, David Nipo and Adam Kohn, for three years. She continued her studies for another three years with Painter Ilya Gefter, founder of the "Visual Art Center" in Tel Aviv and with Painter and Sculptor Eran Webber at "Atelier Webber".

Sivan concentrates on Landscapes paintings and drawings as well as Portraits and still life, in Oil and Pastel.

Her solo exhibitions took her to Lisbon "Centro Cultural de Cascais", Museo D. Diogo De Sousa, Braga, Portugal, Madrid's "Centro Sefarad- Israel", Bucharest "Jewish Museum", as well as many solo exhibitions in Israel,  at the "Performing Arts Center- The Israeli Opera" in Tel Aviv, The "Jerusalem Theater" and "Jerusalem Cinematheque", "Beit Gabriel Cultural Center" on the Lake of Galilee, "Amalia Arbel" renowned Gallery in Tel Aviv and many more. Her paintings and drawings are part of private collections in Israel, London and New York.

According to Curator Doron Polack "Sivan Rotem paints her Landscapes with dreamlike colors, which create excitement and desire, adds natural light in unique tones, that make her landscapes resemble mythical and universal dreams".

Sivan Rotem combines her two careers: singing and painting, in her concerts, where she exhibits her paintings and, in her exhibitions, which she opens with her solo recitals, an exquisite and unique added value to both arts.
